It’s time to swim!

If you’re ready to cool off, relax and hang out with neighbors, Alamar’s Hay Moon Pool is ready for you. The board has approved the extension of pool hours. The new pool hours are Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. ’til 9 p.m. plus, Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. ’til 11 p.m.

Let’s navigate the waters of do’s and don’ts to keep our pool the safest and greatest spot on the block. Safety is vital, especially around water. We know that Alamar residents take pride in our community’s environment and resources, and we appreciate your diligence when it comes to pool rules and safety.

Residents, and up to four guests, have exclusive access to Hay Moon Pool. Download the Brivo Mobile Pass to unlock the gate at Hay Moon Pool, and close the gate once you’re in to keep the area safe and secure. If you haven’t yet requested your mobile pass, fill out the amenity access request form and we’ll get you set up in the system.

A few rules to note

Glass is prohibited at the pool. Sip back and relax, but ditch the glass. Let’s make sure the only things cracking are jokes, containers. (Think beer bottles, casserole dishes, glass condiment containers, tempered glass, swim goggles with glass lenses, etc.)

Please leave pool play equipment at home. This includes items like sunbathing floats, kickboards, fun noodles, footballs, beach balls, water guns, water balloons, etc. For your little ones, try Coast Guard approved floatation devices.

No diving, flipping, running, pushing, stealing or horseplay. Keep your wheelies and skateboards at home too.

Keep your playlist and conversations personal.  No one wants to here Baby Shark, Queen, and Taylor Swift playing at the same time. Like music, keeping conversations at a respectful volume is appreciated. If the birds aren’t loud enough to join in on the conversation, it’s time to turn the volume down a bit.

Only use emergency equipment when needed. Safety gear is for “oh no” moments, not “aha” discoveries.

Adult supervision is required for kids 14 and under. Keep an eye on your little swimmers to keep any potential danger at bay.

All children who are not yet toilet trained must wear a swim diaper and rubber pants in the pool.

We need your eyes and ears

We — your Alamar Community Life team — will roam the amenities on various shifts during pool season. Our top priority is to engage with residents and their guests to make their experience memorable, positive and safe.

You, too, can help us create a safe environment. If you see something suspicious, like someone hopping the pool fence, report it to the Avondale Police Department by calling their non-emergency line at 623-333-7001 . If you notice anything out of place, damaged, or not functioning properly, please submit a community concern form. And, of course, if there is an immediate threat of bodily harm or property damage, call 9-1-1.

Our amenities are an extension of your home, and together, we can ensure our community continues to enjoy this shared space now and for years to come.

Keep your pool access afloat

Remember, the key to a summer full of poolside memories lies not just in the water, but in respect for the rules and each other. Unresolved compliances violations and broken pool rules can result in losing access to the pool. So this summer, make sure you tend to your garden and your manners. Let’s make this summer safe, fun, and one to remember.

Our rules come from Maricopa County guidelines, and are meant to keep the pool safe, secure, and family friendly. For a more thorough list of the rules, read the Alamar pool rules, which start on page 5 of the Alamar Resident Agreement.
