Any modification to an existing residence within Alamar, including the installation of a pool, patio cover, front/side/rear landscaping, ramada, gazebo, or any other physical alteration to the appearance of a house or yard, must be approved in advance by the Design Review Committee. To minimize redesign efforts, application for additions, modifications or other improvements should be reviewed and approved by the Design Review Committee prior to any submission to the city of Avondale for permits.

Applications should be submitted with attachments detailing the intended modification. In order for an application to be reviewed by the Design Review Committee, a picture of the home must be provided.

All exterior paint and stain colors must be selected from the approved color palette. Additional colors that are not on the approved color palette will be considered on a case-by-case basis. See the DRC for an up-to- date color palette. All paint, stain, fabric, tile, and other colors must match or complement the color scheme of the Home for which they are being used. Although Alamar encourages the use of color, it reserves all rights in its sole discretion to not approve colors or color combinations that it believes are not compatible for Alamar or the character of the home. Repainting exterior Improvements with the same, previously approved color scheme, so long as the original colors are used in the original locations, does not require DRC approval.
