Alamar’s Leadership Program celebrated its first graduating class, marking a significant milestone for the community. Throughout the year, Alamar’s emerging leaders had the unique opportunity to explore the city of Avondale, participating in dynamic and engaging classes. Highlights included a behind-the-scenes tour of City Hall, where they met the City Manager, and an exhilarating visit to Phoenix International Raceway, featuring an insider’s look at the facility and a thrilling ride on the racetrack. These activities provided firsthand insights into the city’s operations and key community attractions.
In addition to field experiences, leaders engaged in meaningful discussions at Lakin Prep, delving into the principles outlined in the “Dare to Lead” book. Evening sessions combined learning with community, offering delicious food, drinks, and reflective conversations on how to implement newfound leadership skills to benefit Alamar. These moments of growth and collaboration equipped participants with the tools and inspiration to drive positive change in their community.
