Meet Alamar’s first leadership class

As Alamar continues to grow, Alamar Leadership alumni will act as prominent figures in the community and help to shape the culture and environment residents desire.

One common value between all the leaders in Class 1 is a desire to create a strong sense of community through teamwork and creating meaningful memories with their families and neighbors.

Throughout 2024, Alamar Leadership Class 1 members will continue to enhance their leadership skills, personal development, and sense of connection with their class and the Alamar community. They’ll visit local Avondale landmarks like the Phoenix International Raceway, City Hall, and many more.

Applications for Alamar Leadership Class 2 open in November. If you’d like to get involved in your community and work on becoming an Alamar leader, email Sarah Ganser to get added to the interest list.

Kerry Sullivan

Kerry, along with her husband and youngest son who currently attends Lakin Prep, moved to Arizona from the Chicago area in 2019 and quickly became invested in the Alamar community. As a VP of Resident Performance, Kerry is enthusiastic about driving community growth and looks forward to participating in more community events at Alamar with her family.

Maricela Anduray

Raised in California, Maricela came from a large family which instilled the importance of family and being there for one another. She is a mom, wife, and most notably a leader who wants to watch Alamar flourish into a neighborhood that is known for its strong sense of community, events, and a place where fun family memories are endless.

Shelly Phillips

Shelly is an enthusiastic Philadelphia native and sports fan. She’s been an Arizona resident since 2017, enjoys exploring Arizona’s historic landmarks, checking out new restaurants with her fiancé and spending time with her dogs. It’s everyone’s dream to make a career out of what they love. Shelly made it a reality. While she enjoys attending sporting events on weekends, her 9 to 5  is just as sports-centered, indulging in what she loves as much as possible. If you see her out and about, don’t be afraid to say hi!

Cheri Gerlach

Originally from Michigan, Cheri has found her forever home at Alamar in Avondale, Arizona with her husband, two cane corsos dogs, and three cats. She is eager to meet more Alamar residents and contribute to its growth and welcoming spirit.
